We recently switched all our electronics to Apple and couldn't be happier. What does it for me in the TV is the ability to download movies over wire. That'd be great to be able to add the DVR into the mix!

PS Totally agree that support for other codec is needed so you can play any file format without the painful and time consuming process of having to convert it first to play. You should just be able to drag and file type into a designated folder and Apple TV will play it, much like front row can now.

Leave out the TiVo technology but stick in DVD Blueray. I predict simple games like what is available on the iphone will become available and you will be able to control them using your iPhone accelerometer, much like the WII. Not for me but I am hanging for the new Apple TV as the current one is under powered. Its desperate for an update but how long are Apple going to keep us waiting, will it be June when they announce the next iPhone hardware update, probably but hopefully sooner. I just hope an announcement comes soon to stop all the hype and rumours.
